What is .укр?
IANA delegated .укр on March 19, 2013, as part of the effort to let people use domain names entirely in their own script.
A little context on Ukraine: the capital is Kyiv, the main language is Ukrainian, the currency is the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) and the international dialing code is +380.
Ukraine shares land borders with 7 countries, so the ccTLDs next door are .by (Belarus), .hu (Hungary), .md (Moldova), .pl (Poland), .ro (Romania), .ru (Russia) and .sk (Slovakia).
IANA lists Ukrainian Network Information Centre (UANIC), Inc. as the manager of .укр, with an address in Ukraine. The registry's website is https://namestore.u-registry.com. ccTLD managers set their own policies — who can register, which second-level names exist, pricing to registrars — so those rules differ from country to country.
On the technical side, .укр is served by 6 authoritative name servers, 2 of them reachable over IPv6. There is no DS record for .укр in the root zone, which means the TLD is not DNSSEC-signed at the top level. Registration data is published over WHOIS (the WHOIS server is whois.dotukr.com).
Ukraine also has another country-code domain in the root zone: .ua.
