What is .zr?
When a country code is removed from ISO 3166-1 — because a country changes its name, splits or merges — its ccTLD is eventually retired. Websites move to the new code, and after a transition period the old TLD disappears from the root zone.
.zr FAQ
Does .zr still work?
No. .zr is retired, so names under it no longer resolve.
What replaced .zr?
.cd, the ccTLD for DR Congo.
