What is .an?
When a country code is removed from ISO 3166-1 — because a country changes its name, splits or merges — its ccTLD is eventually retired. Websites move to the new code, and after a transition period the old TLD disappears from the root zone.
.an FAQ
Does .an still work?
No. .an is retired, so names under it no longer resolve.
